On a particularly cloudy and cool June afternoon, I made my way to a wooded trail, lined with magical Pennsylvania wildflowers. A perfect day– Just me, my mum, our big puffy poodle pup and the wild-side of our town. We walked & talked for miles getting lost in the enchanted green landscape, picking bunches of pale blossoms from the trail-side. I cooled off with lemon water, was greeted by my sweet black cat & got right to crafting. To start, I cut the blossoms leaving about 2 inches of stem. (So keep in mind to pluck them longer than that.) I divided the blossoms by their color and laid out how I wanted to arrange them on the wreath. I poked each stem between twig stems and pushed them into the length I liked.
A little secret (Shh!) I used a pre-woven wreath base so I had more time to wander & pluck the perfect Wild Blue Phlox, Goldenrod, Bluet Blossoms, Buttercups, and Ivory shrub Accents. If you have the time to weave the wreath yourself, Here’s an excellent step-by-step tutorial on how to get started.
I styled this blossom-studded wreath as a centerpiece with candles and cacti, and as a wall hanging to adorn your holiday hang-out space. Enjoy the opportunity to be one with nature and give this DIY a try!
