A local spot in the heart of lower Lawrenceville is revolutionizing the hot dog game, and I can’t stay away.  From its rustic, bohemian bar with homemade root beer on tap, to the fresh-fried, chocolate and pecan funnel cake, It’s become my go-to indulgence. I usually get the hand-cut fries, Pierogies, or a classic dog like the one I snapped a picture of last visit. My new favorite, however, is the Milano: Grass-fed beef-dog with prosciutto, ricotta, and onion marmalade.  wow.  As if the bites weren’t reason enough to add ’em to your to-do list, their philosophy on food is spot-on. A menu composed of grass-fed and humanely raised meat, specialty sausages and offering vegetarian and gluten-free options.  There’s also a stellar selection of local draft beer and the best frankfurters in western Pennsylvania.
