Early evening and the sun glows

a soft shade of tangerine.

Vacation days are sacred to me, and so is sunset. After a wonderful dinner, we stepped out into the heat and headed for the beach. I stripped off my sandals and went barefoot in the pale sand.  My light slip dress let the setting evening sun press its last bit of heat into my skin. These moments are the signatures of summer.  S A V O R them.
