Temperatures in Pittsburgh have been on the fritz.  We’ve had one of the warmest Fall’s that I can remember. Sadly, the weather seems to be making up for lost time and a chill is moving in quickly.

Assuming it may be one of my last, I spent a long afternoon out back– reading my hard copy of sleepy hollow and sipping on cider. A perfect fall day.  Sorgel’s Orchard makes a stellar fresh-pressed cider that is so perfectly tart, my man & I have already gone through 2 gallons since September. To change it up, I brewed a massive batch of The Pioneer Woman’s Mulled Cider to try something a little different this year. This was my first time making hot cider from scratch & it was well worth the work.
